IVA evening to be held

An evening focusing on issues related to debt and individual voluntary arrangements (IVAs) is set to be held on August 1st, it has been announced.
The Debt Evening will include discussion, commentary, economic analysis and research about IVAs, including a poll about the public`s view of this type of financial scheme.
Dr James Bellini, a broadcaster who has previously presented The Money Programme, Newsnight and Panorama, will chair the event.
He said that the event is mean to highlight the "major issue" of personal debt management.
"I`m looking forward to gaining real insights into this important topic," said Mr Bellini.
"I hope the evening will yield valuable lessons about debt management and highlight key messages for practitioners and individuals alike."
Meanwhile, site manager Andy Davie commented that the night presents a "fantastic opportunity" for creditors and debt solutions providers to hear a variety of perspectives on the issue.
A previous IVA evening was held on May 2nd.
